Lisa Tucker -- Because of You
No. Just no. It wasn't her song to touch. If you're going to sing a Kelly Clarkson song, at least have the vocals to back it up.
Kellie Pickler -- Suds in a Bucket
She's got an AMAZING voice, and she's so beautiful, but her face tonight was just blank. It didn't seem like she was enjoying the song as much as she should. lmao, and I love how she says "sorry" when she doesn't need to.
Ace Young -- Drops of Jupiter
Ugh. Ace if you want to sing one of my favorite songs, don't be flat okay. Why does he always shake when he sings? It can't be nervousness because he's been on the show for how many weeks now? It was okay in the middle, but beginning and end? Horrible. Not my favorite, and I know Ace is better than this.
Taylor Hicks -- Trouble
His vocals are spot on. I cannot love him enough, honestly. I have no more to say.
Mandisa -- Shackles (??)
LOVE HER. Mary Mary suits her so well, and it's definately the kind of music she should be singing. Her vocals are spot on as well, and I'm glad to see that this show is actually picking up.
Chris Daughtry -- What If
lmfao sidenote: the titanic song by chris daughtry = HOT. Anyways to his performance. Not my kind of music, but I guess he was okay. Not my favorite performance by him.
Katharine McPhee -- The Voice Within
She should've sang Stripped, lmfao. I didn't like this song for her. Like Lisa, she chose a song that was too big for her. She didn't have the best vocals ever, and wtf is up with that shirt? PLEASE DON'T LET HER GO. I will cry rivers.
Bucky Covington -- Real Good Man
Tim McGraw!! <3 This week I really love Bucky. He definately picked a good song this week. No Jessica Simpson hair. Cowboy hat = RAWK. Everything about his performance was FANTASTIC. Good thing we kicked off Kevin.
Paris Bennet -- Work It Out
She honestly has the voice of a much older woman. Better than Beyonce honestly. I L-O-V-E her and I don't know why she wasn't one of my favorites from the beginning.
Elliot Yamin -- I Don't Wanna Be
GAVIN DEGRAW = LOVE. ELLIOTT EARNED A MILLON POINTS WITH ME. Ugh. loveloveLOVE it. I still don't like his facial expressions when he sings. but UGH. Elliott singing Gavin = love.

I'm not much of a Manilow fan, so his performance just about did me in. I love the commercials, and Katharine is always so cute in them.
Despite my predictions in my last post, I do believe that the right person went home. Kevin was there based just on likability, and stole Will's place because he isn't widely known I guess and wasn't everybody's favorite. ANYWAYS, hopefully certain people will convince me next week!

I apologize in advance, I was half on the computer half watching the show, but I'll comment on what I remember.
Mandisa was absolutely flawless. She amazes me each week. As much as I love Mandisa though, I don't think I would follow her career past idol. I loved her make up :[
Tonight I noticed Paris Bennet. She's got the voice of a singer whose been in the business for ages. It's amazing that that huge voice is in the body of a tiny 16 year old girl.
Lisa Tucker wasn't great, in my opinion, which makes me sad because from the very beginning Lisa has been one of my favorites. She's kind of been turning me off lately and I won't be surprised if she's one of the bottom three this week.
Chris Daughtry was simply amazing. Johnny Cash suits him well. I love how he makes each song his own each week. He's the only artist on American Idol who has ever done that, and even Simon realizes this.
Katharine McPhee was so beautiful tonight. Her voice is flawless.
Bucky Covington = ew. wtf was up with that?
Elliot Yamin wasn't all that great. He's not one of my favorites, and I really am not a fan of his facial expressions when he sings. rofl.
Kevin Covias = blech. He shouldn't be there anyways, I think he's there just because he has that likability.
Kellie Pickler is so adorable. As much as I love her, she needs to connect with the song more. Cut down on the performance, up the singing.
Taylor Hicks is so much love. The song he sang suited him so well.
I realize I did this out of order, but Ace Young was still last, rofl. Anyways, I wasn't a fan of his performance tonight. He sounded a bit off, and the judges were on crack or something.

The good old fashioned intro post. My personal journal on LJ (if you can call it that) is ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) rimes, but I'm much more a GJ person myself (veronicaa for those of you who don't know). This journal will be my AI journal this season. The username came about in a funny way actually. I wanted an AI related username, and Katharine is my favorite girl on the show, so therefore I had to have one relating to her. All the usual journals were taken, and I've always had good luck when I sounded out the name rather than typed it the way it's spelt. Therefore mikfee was born, but I doubt you wanted to know all that.
I will update this journal AT LEAST twice a week on my opinions on each episode of American Idol, and my own constructive critism of each performance. I'm not going to lie to you and say that I don't have my favorites, but I'm not a biased person. I'm not going to say Katharine was FANTASTIC if she wasn't. Which, by the way, she was on Wednesday lmao.
I'd update on recent happenings on Idol, but I particularly don't feel like it right now. Besides, I think it'd be best to start with a new week instead of just jumping right on the IDOL bandwagon. All I'm going to say right now is that I didn't particularly agree with the bottom three, but I was happy with the outcome.
